On February 8, the head of the government visited the Ministry of Culture and got acquainted with the results of implementing the priority tasks in 2017 and the plans of the department for 2018.
As the governmental press service, the head of the Ministry of Culture, presenting the results of the work over the past year, especially stressed the exhibition of works by Hovhannes Aivazovsky "Ararum", timed to the artist's 200th anniversary, which was held in the National Gallery of Armenia. The exhibition was visited by a record number of people on the scale of Armenia - 46,207 visitors. For 1 month, the gallery's revenue from ticket sales amounted to 15 million AMD (in 2016 the gallery's annual income was 15 million AMD).
According to the Minister of Culture, in 2017 the gross income of 68 subordinate SNCOs registered a stable growth - up to 1 748 537.8 thousand (against 1 331 849.7 thousand in 2016).
Karen Karapetyan, after the meeting, called for studying international experience, understanding the available indicators, which can become a guide to work in the field.
