In 2017, investments in metal deposits in Armenia totaled $ 235 million

ArmInfo. In 2017, companies engaged in mining of metal minerals invested a total of $ 235 million.

According to the Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia Vardan Gevorgyan, according to the licenses granted, about 3 billion drams will be invested in geological research within the next three years. In contrast to the extraction of metal ores, the volumes of which did not undergo significant changes last year, the total production increased by 30%, which is connected with the growth of world prices for ore.

In Armenia in 2017 reserves of non-metallic minerals were approved, which indicate that the reserves of non-metallic minerals have increased by 900 thousand cubic meters of ore. Over the same period, 5 million tons of ore have been added to the approved reserves of metal minerals.
