ArmInfo. Russia is considering the possibility of creating joint poultry and pig farms in Armenia. The Director of the Department of Plant Production, Mechanization, Chemicalization and Plant Protection of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia Petr Chekmarev stated during the first meeting of the Armenian-Russian working group on cooperation held in Yerevan today. RA Ministry of Agriculture told ArmInfo.

Chekmarev also noted that steps will be taken to open representative offices of Russian scientific institutes engaged in breeding in Armenia.

On the agenda, the participants discussed the possibilities of creating agricultural machinery stations, as well as a number of issues related to plant safety, veterinary medicine, organic agriculture,

The parties noted the importance of regular information exchange for the formation of more effective policies, targeted state support and coordinated work.
