ArmInfo. The State Food Safety Service of the Armenian Ministry of Agriculture suspended imports of 50 tons of chicken breasts from the Republic of Brazil.
According to the press service of the department, the samples representing a special risk were sent for examination to the laboratory. During the examination, it was found that the chicken breast does not meet the established standards. It is subject to disposal or destruction.
In addition, a number of violations were established in February 2018 by border control. In particular, inconsistencies were found in the accompanying documentation confirming the safety of the following food products: soy sauce from the United Arab Emirates, goose meat, acetic acid, chips, crackers, sunflower oil, nuts, flour from Russia, chewing gum "Big Red" from the United States of America, confectionery, alcoholic beverages, wines from Ukraine, as well as cheese from the Russian Federation and the Netherlands.
Import of 12 kg of large red resin from the United States was also suspended due to the delay in the product, the import of 23 tons of soybeans from Russia due to lack of registration with the tax authority, as well as the import of 60 kg of food additives from the French Republic, since the cargo was not registered.
