ArmInfo. During the visit of the governmental delegation of Armenia to Lebanon, from the 12th to the 14th of March agreements were reached, including in the field of trade and economic cooperation. This was announced by Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan on March 15 at a government meeting.
According to the prime minister, during the official visit to Lebanon, the members of the Armenian delegation held meetings with the top leadership of this country, as well as representatives of the business community and the banking sector.
In this connection, the head of the government instructed the ministers of economic development and investments, energy infrastructures and natural resources, as well as the head of the Development Fund of Armenia to take measures in a month to implement the agreements within the scheduled time. In addition, Karen Karapetyan called for proposals to be submitted to the Government to intensify the activities of the Armenian-Lebanese intergovernmental commission, as well as to create a joint investment fund.
Recall that on March 12 in Lebanon, Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan called for considering the prospect of establishing an Armenian-Lebanese investment fund with the aim of financing joint programs. "In general, now is the right time for investments in Armenia," the Armenian prime minister said at a meeting with Lebanese counterpart Saad Hariri.
