ArmInfo. In 2018, the planned volume of capital investments in Armavir region of Armenia will be 62.6bln AMD, and 1450 permanent jobs will be created. This was reported by the head of the region Ashot Ghahramanyan to Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan during the visit of the head of the Cabinet to Armavir region. The prime minister got acquainted with the results of the activities carried out in individual spheres within the framework of the programs for the development of the region and communities in 2017 and tasks for 2018.
As the press service of the government reports, according to Governor Ashot Kahramanyan, within the framework of credit and investment development programs in 2017, investment programs worth 23.3 billion drams were implemented in the region, 652 permanent jobs were created, against 10 billion drams and 300 jobs in 2016-m. Private sector organizations implemented investment programs amounting to 14 billion drams, this year investments will amount to 35.9 billion drams in the spheres of tourism, agriculture, energy and urban development.
In the past year, the number of tourists visiting the region increased to 117 thousand people, compared to 61839 in the previous year. During the current year, 15% growth is expected in the sphere.
According to Ghahramanyan, in 2017, the actual revenues of local budgets amounted to 7 billion 143 million 948.5 drams (implementation of budgets was 10.1%). Collection of own revenues amounted to 2 billion 628 million 683 thousand drams (100.5% performance), compared to 2016, the figure increased by 582.3 million drams. The indicator of personal incomes per capita in the region in 2017 was 9889 drams, instead of 7675 drams in 2016. This year the figure is planned to increase to 10,470 drams.
According to the head of the regional administration, in the sphere of agriculture, very large-scale programs are being implemented in the direction of creating gardens, hothouse and refrigeration farms, and dry fruit production. In the past year, intensive gardens with an area of 22 hectares have been established in Armavir, while another 410 hectares are planned to be created in the current one. In 2017, the state and private sector, international organizations and donors carried out work in the agricultural sector of the region for 4.7 billion drams, instead of 2.5 billion drams in 2016, and this year their volume will increase to 5 billion drams.
The sphere of construction in the region also recorded growth - up to 25.3 billion drams, against 10 billion drams in 2016.
