ArmInfo. The number of complaints filed with the Finance Ombudsman office for OSAGO will gradually decrease, believes Vahan Avetisyan, executive director of the Armenian Auto Insurers' Bureau. He said this on March 30 at a press conference.
"Recently, we clarified the statistics of the Finance Ombudsman administration regarding complaints on OSAGO.If previously 20-30% growth was recorded annually, for the first time in several years the rate began to slow down, I think this trend will continue in the future," he said.
In his opinion, the reason that the vast majority of complaints in the office of Finance Ombudsman falls precisely on OSAGO, is due to the lack of restraining mechanisms. "For example, the cost of a request for re-examination in the Bureau earlier was 25 thousand drams, which we reduced to 5-15 thousand AMD, but we believe that for this service applicants must be paid a small amount that people are consciously approached to the question - "Is it really necessary for them to re-expertise." If there are no holding levers, people will go to the place of people or not, because regardless of the result they do not lose anything, "V. Avetisyan explained. According to the data of the office of the RA Financial Bureau, in 2017 in the total number of complaints against financial organizations (4368), the overwhelming majority - 1358 - are directed against insurance companies (of which 80% are related to OSAGO), 270 against banks, 15 against the Bureau of Motor Insurers , 22 against credit companies, 7 against other organizations.
