Armenian Blockchain Forum: Armenia stands at the point where a big flight begins

ArmInfo. Within the framework of Armenia's innovative development strategy April 22, Armenia will host the Armenia Blockchain Forum (ABF) international forum, which will bring together experts from 20 countries around the world in the field of block technologies. Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments Emil Tarasyan stated this during a press conference on April 11.

He noted that the forum attracted about 20 investment funds, the total capitalization of which exceeds $ 10 billion. He explained that in the course of strict selection by an international jury, 15 startups will be selected who will undergo an acceleration tour and will receive investments for the development of their products and the possibility of access to the new markets. Tarasyan urged to apply for participation in the forum to Armenian start-ups, who are not only engaged in the blockade sphere, but also working in the field of artificial intelligence, etc., stressing that Armenia has only 3 projects in the general list of participants so far. "There will be no financial constraints. Everything will depend on the scale of the submitted project and how it will be real and interesting for the global market, "Tarasyan added. In the same context, the deputy minister did not exclude the possibility of attracting the overwhelming majority of investments by Armenian developers.

Speaking about the blockade technologies, the deputy minister stressed that the involvement of the government in these projects is primarily due to the ability of these technologies to change the business culture by creating a self-regulating system on a trust basis that will improve the quality of the services provided and ensure economic efficiency. However, one of the key problems E. Tarasyan called the lack of knowledge in the field of technology blocking, both in the public and private sectors.

In addition, A.Tyurina noted that the vision of ABF regarding the further development of the technology block will coincide with the strategy of Armenia's innovative development. "We are looking in one direction, moving and growing," concluded the expert. It should be noted that the participation of the leading international specialists of the sphere is envisaged within the framework of ABF. The forum will be divided into three sections - plenary discussions, 12 educational master classes and selection of start-ups. In addition, the forum provides for a platform for meetings in the format B2B, B2G.
