ArmInfo. In 2017, Armenia increased the volume of copper ore exports by 23.2% per annum to 489.3 thousand tons. The customs value for the reporting period increased by 64.5% per annum to $ 587 million. Copper ore was exported to Bulgaria (47.2%), China (20.5%), Georgia (16.2%), Switzerland (15.5% %), Romania (0.6%). This is evidenced by the data of the Customs Service of the Republic of Armenia.
Along with this, the volume of export of zinc concentrate was up 10.1% to 10.2 thousand tons, the customs value of which increased by 72.5% per annum to $ 16.6 million. The volume of zinc concentrate exported from Armenia fell to Belgium (90.2%) and Korea (9.8%).
During the reporting year, Armenia exported 1.4 thousand tons of molybdenum concentrate, which is 6.7 times more than the indicator of the previous year. The customs value of molybdenum concentrate increased 10.6 times to $ 10 million. The exports fell to the Netherlands (67%), Belgium (27.4%) and Russia (5.6%). In 2017, Armenia imported 606.5 tons of molybdenum concentrate to Germany, which is 10 times higher than last year. At the same time, the customs value increased 11.5 times to $ 600.5 thousand.
Export of ores containing precious metals in 2017, Armenia reduced by 64.3% to 2.2 thousand tons. At the same time, in value terms, there was also a decline - by 94% - to $ 2 million. Raw materials were exported to Switzerland (70%), Iran (29.2%) and China (0.8%).
