ArmInfo. Beeline and announced the launch of the Startup Incubator project, the opening ceremony of which was held today on the 2nd floor of the Beeline office on Server Avenue.
"We deliberately decided to open a startup incubator here. This is not a business project, we do not expect to receive dividends. This is our contribution to the life of our country. The project will help talented and young people realize their ideas. We understand that it will be difficult, but I am confident that some future world-class ideas will inevitably fly out in the future and contribute to the development of Armenia, "Beeline Director General in Armenia Andrey Pyatakhin said during the welcoming speech.
Head of Beeline Startup Incubator Gevorg Poghosyan explained that within the framework of the project start-ups will be given the opportunity to use the incubator services and expert advice for 4 months. In particular, they will be provided with an office space, training courses and master classes on entrepreneurship, management, marketing, PR, financial and legal issues. Answering the question of ArmInfo, Poghosyan noted that out of the numerous candidates the best 10 people were selected who will intensively grow professionally during the next 16 weeks of trainings, after which their business projects will be presented to potential investors. "Priority in the selection process was given to those startups who are engaged in the development of digital solutions and have a high potential in terms of access to international markets. We want to help our young entrepreneurs to conquer the economic world without having to travel outside their country," Poghosyan said.
He added that the participants of the project expect 32 intensive lessons, during which they will be helped by more than 20 mentors, represented by experienced employees of the companies of the UNION group from Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, Kazakhstan. "The company will invest all its resources, including human resources, for the establishment of these start-ups," G. Pogosyan said in an interview with ArmInfo.
"Being on the Armenian market for about 105 years and being the largest operator, we must show a high degree of responsibility in our activities. Similar projects on the basis of our company have already opened and operate in Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan. I am sure that this kind of direction of eco-systems connected with the start-up, with the Internet is what the company sees in its focus, and that means it will be implemented in other countries in the same way as we do. I always said that we have the most beautiful project, "said A. Pyatakhin in an interview with ArmInfo.
