ArmInfo. On May 22, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the Ambassador of Switzerland to Armenia, Lucas Gasser.
As the press service of the government reports, Pashinyan noted the importance of the Armenian-Swiss cooperation in various fields. The Prime Minister noted that it is important to make efforts and give new impetus to the Armenian-Swiss economic relations.
Gasser noted the willingness of the Swiss government to cooperate with the new government of Armenia. The ambassador also confirmed the participation of the Swiss president in the summit of francophone countries, which will be held in Yerevan in autumn 2018. Touching upon economic cooperation, the ambassador said that a number of Swiss companies are interested in entering the Armenian market, and are now studying the business environment and investment opportunities of our country. Lucas Gasser stated that he visited the Free Economic Zone of Meghri in order to familiarize himself with the available opportunities and present them to Swiss businessmen.
Nikol Pashinyan and Lucas Gasser also touched upon topical issues of regional importance.
