ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a meeting of the Armenian government called on the authorities to strengthen control over the agricultural products exported to the Russian Federation.
"I received reports that on 15 and 16 May Rosselkhoznador identified problems with the products of Armenian farmers, it is important to resolve all issues as quickly as possible so that no problems arise at the borders," Pashinyan said.
In response, the head of the State Food Safety Service Ishkhan Karapetyan said that in this case it is only one company. In the total volume of exports, low-quality products occupy an insignificant fraction. He noted that all arising problems are solved in the working order. "At present, the control over products has significantly increased," the head of the State Service assured Pashinyan. At the same time, he called upon the plenipotentiary structures to pay attention to the labeling of goods, the packaging in which the products are delivered, to solve problems with logistics. According to Ishkhan Karapetyan, often the products of Armenian agricultural producers are supplied to Russia in packagings of double and sometimes triple use without specifying the manufacturer, shelf life of goods, etc.
Agreeing with the problem, the prime minister stressed that it was a question of the need for systemic solutions. "It is very important for the control to be strengthened, and the export of products without obstacles," said Nikol Pashinyan.
