ArmInfo.  The interbank currency market of Armenia increased by 6.6% from May 21 to May 25, after growing 4.6 times the previous week. At the same time, dollar transactions on the intra-bank foreign exchange market "rebuilt" from an ascent to a downward trend, and the euro, on the contrary, came out of the recession into growth, against which the sale of the ruble sharply intensified as the buying dynamics changed from growth to decline. Exchange market since the beginning of the year to this day is empty.

As a result, AMD against the dollar on May 21-25 more strengthened - from 483.3 to 483 AMD / $ 1, continuing the revaluation to the euro - from 570 to 566 AMD / 1evro, weakening to the ruble - from 7.8 to 7.9 AMD / rub. A year earlier, on May 25, 2017, the exchange rate of the dram to the dollar was 482 AMD / $ 1, to the euro - 536 AMD / 1evro, and to the ruble - 8.6 AMD / ruble, which, in comparison with current rates, indicates the annual devaluation of the dram to the dollar and euro, at revaluation to the ruble.  As the press service of the Armenian Central Bank informed, on the foreign currency interbank market, from May 21 to 25 inclusive, transactions in the amount of $ 12.2 million were made at the weighted average rate of 482.81 AMD / $ 1 (against 484.38 AMD / $ 1 a week earlier). And, having worked daily, the currency interbank showed the maximum volumes on Wednesday and Friday - $ 4 million and $ 3.1 million, respectively. In parallel with this, on the intra-bank foreign exchange market, the buying-selling of the dollar changed the trend from 36.4-30.5% growth to a 24-7.5% decline, euro buying-selling, on the contrary, deployed the vector from 17-16 , A 5% decline in the 13.2-8.2% growth, and for ruble transactions, buying has changed dynamics from a 26.4% growth to a 1.1% decline with the acceleration of the climb from 0, 1% to 12.8%. As a result, $ 71.02 million was purchased at the average exchange rate of 482.00 AMD / $ 1, 10.3 million euro at the average rate of 565.05 AMD / 1EUR, and 1.08 billion rubles at an average rate of 7.77 AMD / 1RUB, and sold $ 85.9 million at an average rate of 483.28 AMD / $ 1.15.9 million at an average rate of 569.06 AMD / 1EUR, and 616.8 million rubles at an average rate of 7.87 AMD / 1RUB.

According to the source, from May 14 to May 19, Armenian banks issued AMD 63.1 billion in dram loans and $ 42.2 million in dollar loans. In comparison with the previous period (from May 7 to May 12), the downward trend was replaced by an upward trend, in particular AMD from 23.9% the decline came in at 11.1% growth, and dollar - out of a 29.5% decline in the 33.5% growth.

To note, in Q1 2018, the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia in the foreign exchange market intervened only on purchase - in total "withdrawing" $ 47 million. On the intra-bank foreign exchange market, for the first quarter of 2018, $ 1.053 billion and 113.02 million euros were purchased, and $ 1.042 billion and 186.2 million euros were sold. At the currency interbank for I quarter of 2018, transactions were made in the amount of $ 188.04 million, which was accompanied by the strengthening of the dram from January 482.61 AMD / $ 1 to 480.49 AMD / $ 1. Exchange market since early 2018 to this day is empty.

To recall, for 2017 on the exchange currency area, transactions totaling $ 3.3 million (Jan-March, May) were carried out. The Central Bank for the whole 2017 bought a total of $ 122.6 million (June-September, December) and sold $ 22 million (January, November). Prior to this, in 2016, the exchange currency market also showed weak signs of life - one operation in March-May. The Central Bank bought $ 152 million (April, June, August-October) for the foreign exchange market in 2016, and sold $ 122.7 million (January- February, November-December).
