ArmInfo. The airline "Saratov Airlines" from today stops all flights. The period of validity of the operator's certificate was limited to Rosaviatsia - since May 30, 2018 all flights of the airline were canceled. At the same time, the management of the carrier refutes the information about the closure of the company.
The company's press service stated that by position at 18.00 hours on May 29, 2018, there were no official results of decisions from the regulator's department to Saratov Airlines. In this regard, the airline announces the cancellation of all flights from May 30, 2018. As stated by RBC in the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, "Saratov Airlines" cease work. Rosaviatsiya will have to discuss with other carriers the transfer of airline routes. In order to prevent a failure in the transportation of passengers who have already bought tickets, the work of the operational headquarters will be resumed. Earlier, Rosaviatsia accused the carrier of irresponsible attitude to flight safety. An-148 "Saratov Airlines", flying from Moscow to Orsk, crashed on February 11. The plane fell a few minutes after departure from the capital's Domodedovo airport. On board there were 71 people, including six crew members. Everyone died. After the crash, Rosaviatsia conducted an unscheduled inspection of the airline, following which it limited the validity period of its operator certificate to April 27 and suspended flights to the An-148.
On May 17, the airline announced the termination of its activities from May 31 at the request of Rosaviation and the dismissal of 1,2 thousand employees. But the next day the carrier reported that all violations were eliminated, the airline continues to work and resumes the sale of tickets.
To recall, back in June 2016 Rosaviatsiya issued an admission for regular air transportation of the airline "Saratov Airlines", which was able to fly to Armenia on the route Samara-Yerevan twice a week. "Saratov Airlines" last flight from Samara to Yerevan, as ArmInfo was told in the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (GDCA) of Armenia, carried out on March 22 this year, and to Yerevan from the International Airport of Mineral Waters - on March 25. From April 24, 2018, a flight from Volgograd International Airport to the Armenian capital was planned, which was never implemented.
