From July 1, 2018, new tariffs to be established for electricity generated from renewable energy facilities

ArmInfo. The Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of Armenia approved new tariffs from renewable energy facilities at a meeting on May 30.

According to the PSRC decision, the tariff for small hydropower facilities built on natural riverbeds will be 23,864 drams per 1 kW / h of electricity (excluding VAT), and the tariff for small HPPs operating on irrigation systems will be 15.906 drams per 1 kWh of electricity without VAT). Small hydro plants using drinking water for electricity generation will receive 10605 drams for 1 kW / h (VAT excluded) for 1 kWh of electricity sold by them. Tariffs from wind power stations will be equal to 42.845 drams per 1 kW / h of electricity (excluding VAT), and from power stations using biomass - 42.845 drams per 1 kWh of electricity (excluding VAT). The tariff for solar energy facilities is set at 42.845 drams 1 kWh of electricity (excluding VAT). In this case, we are talking about tariffs for already built solar energy facilities up to 1 MW.

The new tariff rates, according to the decision of the PSRC, will be set from July 1, 2018 to July 1, 2019.
