Armenian government appoints 8 new regional governors

ArmInfo. The Armenian government  appointed 8 new regional governors. The corresponding draft decisions  were approved at a government meeting on June 1.

At this stage, the posts of Syunik and Armavir retained their posts.  According to the decision of the Cabinet, Ashot Simonyan will become  the governor of Aragatsotn, Garik Sargsyan (instead of Aramais  Grigoryan), Ararat - the head of Nor Kyan village (instead of Aramais  Grigoryan), Kotayk - Romanos Petrosyan (instead of Karapet Guloyan),  Tavush - Vahe Galoumian (instead of Hovik Abovyan), Shirak - Karen  Sarukhanyan, Gegharkunik - member of ARDF Ishkhan Saghatelyan  (instead of Karen Botoyan from the RPA). At the same time, the  governors of Vayots Dzor and Lori regions - Harutyun Sargsyan and  Arthur Nalbandyan - will lose their posts. The new heads of these  regions were Aragats Saghatelyan and Hrant Margaryan respectively.
