ArmInfo. The program of indexation of Armenian citizens' deposits in the Savings Bank of the former USSR will be continued. This May 5, at the hearings in the commissions of the country's parliament, said Labor and Social Affairs Minister Mane Tandilyan. According to her, in 2017 1.5 billion drams were allocated for the implementation of the program. Moreover, at the present time the list of persons, who can claim the return of deposits, including residents of border regions and servicemen, is expanding.
In turn, RA Minister of Finance Atom Janjugazyan reported that in 2017 the implementation of this program amounted to 99.97%. In total, 1.504 billion AMD were allocated from the state budget for its implementation. To recall, the Armenian government refunds deposits held in the Savings Bank of the former USSR, only to living citizens who were born before December 31, 1932. Thus, deposits are returned to citizens aged 86 years and over. Outside the turn of compensation can get the participants of the fighting, as well as residents of border villages, in which the gardens and fields remained in the firing zone. Heirs of depositors will not receive compensation, only their spouses, but they will receive a contribution of 50%.
