Pashinyan: The State Statistical Committee of Armenia has the task to  be as objective and independent as possible

ArmInfo. Before the State Statistics Committee of Armenia, the task is to be as objective and independent as possible, which will serve to increase public  confidence. The Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated on  June 12 at a meeting with the head of the Statistical Service of  Denmark Jorgen Elmeskov.

As the press service of the government reports, Pashinyan noted the  importance of official statistics in the productive functioning of  the management system, decision-making. In this context, he stressed  the importance of close cooperation of the relevant services of  Armenia and Denmark.

For many years the public reproached the National Statistical Service  of Armenia (now the State Committee of Statistics) for distorting the  real picture, namely, drawing figures. Meanwhile, recently retaining  the post of the head of the reorganized structure after Stepan  Mnatsakanyan, Nikol Pashinyan stressed that "there is a lie, there is  a blatant lie, and there are statistics." At the same time, he said  that the new government of Armenia is not going to "draw" figures,  but plans to provide real, inclusive economic growth.
