ArmInfo.The Armenian government is interested in the consistent development of relations with the Asian Development Bank and the expansion of ADB's private sector financing. This was announced on June 13 by the delegation of the Bank headed by ADB President Takehiko Nakao, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated.
According to the press service of the government, during the meeting the Prime Minister stressed the importance of active cooperation with the Asian Bank for Development, with the assistance of which many programs have been implemented in Armenia, including in the private sector.
Takehiko Nakao, in turn, noted that the effective cooperation of the Bank with Armenia has developed in a number of ways. He added that ADB is ready to continue and expand assistance to the initiatives of the Armenian government. Takehiko Nakao also spoke about the Bank's readiness to increase the amount of private sector financing to the Armenian sector.
The interlocutors stressed the importance of cooperation in such areas as the development of the infrastructures, agriculture, energy, information technologies, tourism, health, education, etc. spheres.
Nikol Pashinyan and Takhehiko Nakao also discussed the implementation of the investment project for the construction of the North-South motor transport corridor.
