Armenia hopes for World Bank`s assistance in developing economic  capacities of enlarged communities 

ArmInfo.First Deputy of Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Vache Terteryan has discussed with senior economist of the World Bank Ivan Drabek and  Consultant on Social Programs of the Bank's Armenian Office Vahan  Danielyan a number of programs being implemented in Armenia with the  World Bank support.  

In particular, as the press service of the Ministry reports, the  parties discussed the implementation of programs aimed at restoring  infrastructure, developing the service sector in various communities  of the country. They also touched upon programs aimed at expanding  the institutional and financial capacity at the local level.

Vache Terteryan assured that the programs being implemented with the  support of the World Bank are extremely important for Armenia. As the  Deputy Minister noted, the Armenian side hopes for effective  assistance of the World Bank in developing economic opportunities for  the communities enlarged by the results of administrative and  territorial reforms.

Armenia, which since 1992 is a member of the World Bank and since  1993 - the International Development Association (IDA), was provided  loans and grant funds totaling more than $ 2.3 billion.
