ArmInfo. Minister of Economic Development and Investment of Armenia Artsvik Minasyan is optimistic about the economic growth of the republic. The minister stated on June 21, answering the question of ArmInfo.
According to him, the Ministry at the moment has not revised its expectations about the annual GDP growth at the level of the budgeted level of 4.5%. On the contrary, based on the results of improving the business environment, the agency forecasts changes in the indicators towards their increase. At the same time, the head of the department refused to give specific figures on growth.
These expectations, as Minasyan said, are due, among other things, to the readiness of investors to invest in the Armenian economy. Again, without mentioning names and specific volumes of expected investments, he noted that investments will be made both in industry, tourism, and in the sphere of highly paid services. "It's about quite large volumes," he pointed out.
The willingness to invest in Armenia, according to the head of the Ministry of Economy, was expressed by investors from almost all developed countries. And those who have already made speeches with specific investment programs, according to him, are representatives of business from European countries, the United States, Russia, China, etc.
