Armenian government discusses ways to improve competitiveness in the  sphere of air transportation

ArmInfo.Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan received the founder and chairman of the "Armenia" airline Tamaz Gaiashvili yesterday.

As the press service of the government reports, the prime minister  stressed the importance of further development of the aviation sphere  in Armenia. He noted that the government is discussing with the  representatives of the sphere possible steps that can contribute to  increasing competitiveness in the sphere of air transportation.

Tamaz Gaiashvili, in his turn, introduced the activities of the  "Armenia" airline and forthcoming projects to Nikol Pashinyan.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed various issues  related to the development opportunities of the sphere.

The Airline "Armenia" was founded in late 2015, 100% of the shares  are privately owned. The founders of the "Armenia" airline are Ashot  Torosyan (51% of shares), Tamaz Gaiashvili (25%) and Robert  Hovhannesyan (24%). Tamaz Gaiashvili is the founder of the Georgian  airline "Airzena" and the former chairman of the company's Board of  Directors, and Robert Hovhannisyan is his former deputy.
