Inner demand for domestic IT products is growing in Armenia: IT  companies` revenues have exceeded $ 600 million

ArmInfo. About 70% of Armenian IT products were exported to foreign markets, today the export component fell by 2-3%, which indicates the growth of domestic  demand.  RA Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Investments  Avag Avanesyan told ArmInfo.

The Deputy Minister noted that today IT solutions in the domestic  market are most in demand in the financial sector. At the same time  he added that demand will grow in other areas, in view of the fact  that the market today is saturated with offers, in particular,  inexpensive, introducing which can increase the efficiency of the  business.

"There are a lot of advanced IT companies in Armenia, solutions and  developments of which are in great demand on the foreign market,  while local companies prefer the services of external developers," he  said.  In this regard, the deputy head of the department stressed  that the issue of lack of confidence in IT is still topical in  Armenia, although the situation is many times better than it was  years before, he said.
