IFC names Ameriabank Best Issuing Bank Partner in Caucasus and  Central Asia 2017

ArmInfo.Ameriabank CJSC, was granted the award by the International Finance Corporation (IFC)  for Best Issuing Bank Partner in the Caucasus and Central Asia in 2017, the press service of the bank has told ArmInfo.

Mr. Suren Kocharyan, Head of Trade Finance Division for Ameriabank  noted:  "We highly appreciate this award and our long-lasting  partnership with the IFC. We have cooperated with the IFC in trade  finance for already 9 years and since then have managed to  substantially increase our trade finance activities and stimulate the  development of different sectors of the Armenian economy. We hope  that this year there will also be a significant growth, especially  considering the Positive Outlook for Armenia by Fitch Ratings in June  ".

This is already the third IFC award granted to Ameriabank. The Bank  had previously received the award for Most Active GTFP Issuing Bank  in the Caucasus and was also nominated as Best GTFP Issuing Bank for  Energy Efficiency in Europe and Central Asia.  To note, IFC, a member  of the World Bank Group, is the largest global development  institution focused exclusively on the private sector. Working with  more than 2000 organizations worldwide using capital, expertise, and  influence to help eliminate extreme poverty and promote shared  prosperity. According to the results of 2017, investments climbed to  an all-time high of nearly $19.3 billion, leveraging the power of the  private sector to create jobs and tackle the world's most pressing  development challenges.

To note, Ameriabank is a dynamically developing bank and one of the  major and  most stable financial institutions in Armenia. The bank has  been operating in the Armenian market since  October 31, 1996. The awards were granted to the bank by Euromoney  (2017, 2016, 2014, 2012, 2011), Global Finance (2017, 2016, 2015,  2013, 2012), by The Banker/FT (2017, 2016, 2015, 2013, 2010), by  Commerzbank- STP-Award is granted annually since 2008.
