Artsvik Minasyan and Shane Rosenthal discussed ADB`s technical  assistance on export and innovation development in the industrial  sector of Armenia

ArmInfo.On July 10, Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investments Artsvik Minasyan met with the director of the Armenian office of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Shane Rosenthal. According to the press service of the  ministry, Artsvik Minasyan thanked the ADB for consistent assistance  and presented the current work on joint programs. During the meeting,  issues related to ADB's technical assistance for the development of  exports and innovations in the industrial sector of Armenia were  discussed.

Mr. Minasyan stressed the importance of ADB's assistance in  strengthening the capacities and introducing new tools. The parties  also touched upon issues related to public-private partnership,  effective use of financial opportunities and support for exports. 

As of April 2018, the bank approved 28 loans for $ 1.37 billion and  27 technical grants for $ 15.7 million.  According to the strategy  for 2014-2018. ADB plans to provide financial assistance to Armenia  in the amount of about $ 500 million. The funds will be used to  support infrastructures, energy and social services to promote the  country's flexible, comprehensive and stable development.
