ArmInfo.The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Development of the Republic of Armenia discussed the possibilities for the implementation of the new program of financial support for the implementation of disaster risk insurance by the Asian Development Bank (ADB). As the press service of the agency reports, the program consists of a number of components: the development of a policy for forecasting natural disasters; improvement of infrastructures; management of risks.
According to the source, the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Development David Gevorgyan and the Chief Specialist of the Department of Finance, Trade and Public Administration in Central and Eastern Asia ADB Peter Maro took part in the discussions.
The Deputy Minister noted that Armenia is interested in this proposal, namely in the introduction of advanced experience in disaster risk insurance. In his turn, the representative of ADB expressed hope that this meeting will become the start of the introduction of changes in this sphere of Armenia.
