ArmInfo. Under the chairmanship  of Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan, high-level hearings  on "Innovations, socially useful investments and sustainable  development goals as an instrument for stimulating reforms" were held  at the UN Headquarters.

As the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo,  the Armenian Mission to the United Nations, UNDP, and the Permanent  Mission of Francophonie organized the discussions. The event was  devoted to Armenia's experience in implementing the Sustainable  Development Goals, based on innovation and partnership with the  private sector. In the context of the velvet revolution, the  participants of the event in Armenia presented the agenda for the  reforms of the new government and the steps taken in this direction.

Mnatsakanyan stressed that for Armenia the sphere of innovations is  important in finding various solutions for the consolidation of  various beneficiaries. At the same time, the Armenian Minister highly  appreciated Armenia's cooperation with various UN structures when  nationalizing the goals of sustainable development. The Armenian FM  stressed the importance of close cooperation of the UN in the matter  of new ideas and innovations.

Touching upon the activities of the Sustainable Development Goals  within the framework of the OIF, Mnatsakanyan noted that it is an  honor for Armenia to be a part of a large Francophone family and to  establish close cooperation in such areas as education, culture, high  technologies, innovations,

In conclusion, Mnatsakanyan stated that Armenia attaches importance  to innovations that enable to create and implement new ideas,  introducing them into the country's socio-economic development. "In  the case of Armenia, there are already important initiatives that  have made significant progress in this direction:  TUMO, SMART  Center, Dasaran.am and others, whose activities were also presented  at the UN headquarters last year, and the government actively  encourages these initiatives. The goals of sustainable development  are based on innovative, creative ideas that ensure sustainable  development by investing in countries. "This is what we are striving  for," he concluded.
