Mikael Melkumian and Czech Ambassador to Armenia discussed issues  related to trade and economic relations between republics

ArmInfo. On July 25, Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly Mikael Melkumyan met with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Armenia Petr Mikyska.

According to the press service of the Parliament, Melkumyan presented  the current situation in Armenia, turned to the steps of the  government on holding anti monopoly and anti corruption reforms. 

During the meeting, issues related to trade and economic relations,  opportunities and ways to increase the volume of trade were  discussed. It is proposed to organize Armenian-Czech business forums.

The Vice Speaker of the National Assembly expressed concern over the  export of certain types of Czech weapons from Slovakia to Israel, and  then to Azerbaijan (Dana, RM-70).

In turn, Ambassador Mikyska noted that the dealers who carried out  this transaction did not have the permission of the Czech  authorities.

During the meeting, the Ambassador informed that Czech companies  expressed readiness to invest the construction of geothermal power  plants in Vayots Dzor regions.
