Finance Minister of Armenia and EBRD discussed strategy of further cooperation

ArmInfo.Atom Janjugazian, the Minister of Finance of Armenia, met with the Managing Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in the countries of Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, Francis Malizh, on July 25. As the press service of the ministry told ArmInfo, during the meeting the parties discussed the strategy for further bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the envisaged program priorities.

The Minister of Finance stressed the importance of ensuring in business relations the ongoing process of initiatives and the predictability of the scenario.

Malizh, referring to reforms in the tax field, expressed the hope that the planned changes will serve as a stimulus for the further development of the Armenian economy.

The parties also discussed issues related to the stabilization of the national debt, improvement of fiscal mechanisms, cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, and improvement of the investment climate in Armenia.
