The Armenian office of one of the world-renowned consulting and audit companies- EY (Ernst & Young) has recently celebrated its 10th anniversary in Yerevan among high- ranking employees from EY offices working in different cities around the world, representatives of the Armenian government, local and international business circles, as well as clients, partners and friends of EY. The traditional Apricot Party event this time took place on the terrace of the Radisson Blu Hotel.
In an interview with ArmInfo, Head of EY CIS TAS (Transaction Advisory Services) Valuation Services, Partner Hakob Sarkissian said that over 10 years of activity it is already possible to say that the company's service is almost 100% localized in Armenia. "Today, we do a lot of work independently in Armenia. Moreover, the solutions and services of local specialists are successfully sold to the markets of the CIS, Baltic and European countries, "he stressed.
According to Sarkissian in recent years, despite the complex economic situation, the number of EY employees has not decreased, but, on the contrary, has increased. "We give the opportunity to talented youth to prove themselves. We involve new people for solutions aimed at improving business efficiency, and we approach the situation with optimism, "said EY representative.
Speaking about the transformation of the Armenian market towards greater transparency and increasing demand for audit and consulting, Sarkissian stressed that everything depends on the conditions created in the country. Given that there have been changes in Armenia that contribute to the conduct of transparent activities, EY is optimistic about the future. "I believe that everything depends on us. It's easy to talk about the need to ensure normal conditions, but it's more difficult to provide them, "Sarkissian said. In this context, he shared his impressions of his meeting with the Armenian Diaspora in Russia: "Many people want to return, and ultimately, they do not need much - just decent conditions, and in return, I'm sure they will invest much more in the prosperity of Armenia's capacities and skills. The Diaspora is ready, but most importantly, we should be ready too''.
Touching upon the recent meeting with Armenian President Armen Sarkissian, Hakob Sarkissian stressed that the conversation with the head of the state encouraged him even more. According to him, representatives of EY company during the meeting referred to the activities of EY in Israel, which provided unprecedented growth in the economy. "My dream is that Armenia experiences the same growth," Sarkissian cited Armenia's President. At the same time, he stressed that the president's vision is inspiring, therefore the company needs to organize everything properly.
