ArmInfo. The Armenian government is actively working towards attracting investments to the economy, "said First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan in an interview with journalists. He stressed that multimillion-dollar programs cannot be realized in a couple of months and, therefore, it is necessary to wait.
Earlier, on July 20, at a meeting with journalists, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said there was an increased investment interest in Armenia. According to the Prime Minister, despite the existence of specific investment projects, the current government, taught by the bitter experience of its predecessors, will refrain from mentioning the names of investors and the amount of investments expected. "It will be more correct if they are announced, after they become a reality," Pashinyan said. To recall, after the "velvet revolution," many experts predicted a big investment boom for Armenia. On June 21, responding to the question of ArmInfo, Minister of Economic Development and Investments of Armenia Artsvik Minasyan stated about the readiness of investors to invest in the Armenian economy. Again, without mentioning the names and specific volumes of the expected investments, he noted that the investments will be directed to industry, tourism, to the sphere of high-tech services. "It's about quite large volumes," he pointed out. The willingness to invest in Armenia, according to the head of the Ministry of Economy, was expressed by investors from almost all developed countries. And those that have already come up with specific investment programs represent the countries of Europe, the USA, Russia and China.
