Iran intends to export its electricity to Russia via Armenia

ArmInfo. Iran is negotiating  with Armenia and Azerbaijan to export electricity to Russia. This was  stated by the Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian.

"We are seriously following the plan for Iran's accession to the  European electricity networks," Reza Ardakanian said in an interview  with IRNA, adding that joining the European electricity networks  through Iran's northern neighbors is one of the scenarios.

The Energy Minister also noted that Iran seeks to exchange  electricity with neighboring countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan,  Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey and Iraq.
