ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee of Armenia (SRC) does not implement procedures for strict administration in relation to small and medium- businesses, the Head of the tax and customs department David Ananyan stated on August 16 in a conversation with reporters.
David Ananyan considered it unreasonable to comment on various rumors in the media. As of today, he assured that the agency does not terrorize small and medium-sized businesses, but only carries out actions within the limits of its powers. "I think that taxpayers are very often subjectively treated by business, we do not offend small and medium businesses by strict administration," the head of the Committee concluded.
To note, back in late July, reacting to the mass media publications on tax terror against SMEs, the press service of the agency said that the State Revenue Committee, as far as possible refrains from implementing control measures or applying other administrative measures to small and medium-sized businesses. Instead, as reported, preventive work is carried out to inform and notify SME entrepreneurs, mainly related to the rules of operation of cash registers (sale of goods by voucher), registration of employees according to procedure prescribed by the law and documenting deals. Nevertheless, if the taxpayers have facts and information indicating that the actions of the SRC or certain employees of the agency are aimed at unreasonable interference in the activities of SMEs, or are aware of such actions that took place in the past, the tax and customs department suggests reporting about them through post: Yerevan, Komitas St. 35, 0051 2), or by email [email protected]
To note, a week earlier, in an interview with reporters, the head of the SRC, David Ananyan, stated that the agency had a clear instruction not to overload the small and medium business with tax administration. "If one or another member of the Committee misunderstands the instruction, we should release this employee from the post." We also need to clear the field and attract new employees, "Ananyan said. Nevertheless, representatives of SMEs continue to alarm an ongoing pressure by tax authorities.
