ArmInfo. Armenia and China expressed readiness to implement joint programs in the energy sector. This was announced during the meeting of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Armenia Tian Erlong and the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia Artur Grigoryan.
As the press service of the ministry reports, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the Armenian-Chinese cooperation in the energy sector. Grigoryan presented prospects of development of the energy industry in Armenia and opportunities for implementing joint programs.
According to the source, the interlocutors also touched upon issues related to the launch of production of thin-film solar cells in Armenia by the largest Chinese Hanergy company, and the copper smelter construction program by Chinese CITIC company.
