The parties discussed the prospects for the development of Armenian-Iranian cooperation in the field of urban development, in particular the creation of joint ventures and the production of construction materials, the construction of residential houses and the presence of Iranian companies in FEZ Meghri.
According to the press service of the State Committee, in order to achieve obvious progress in the Armenian-Iranian relations, according to the Iranian ambassador, it is necessary to revise the approaches in a number of areas. In particular, the diplomat pointed to the need for the development of communities adjacent to the North-South transport corridor, the decentralization of large cities while developing rural settlements, encouraging cooperation in the field of renewable energy, and establishing a preferential tax regime for the import and export of construction materials.
The interlocutors also touched upon the importance of strengthening cooperation in solving the problem of ensuring seismic security.
