Ardshinbank offers non-contact Visa and MasterCard cards

ArmInfo.Ardshinbank offers instant payments in points of trade / services through contactless cards of Visa and MasterCard payment systems.

As the press service of the bank informs, non-contact cards can be  both credit and debit. To make a payment, you just need to attach   the card to the POS-terminal, not transferring it to the employee.  The need to enter the PIN code is eliminated if the payment amount  does not exceed 10 thousand AMD, which reduces the queues, improves  the quality of service and ensures the security of the cardholder  data.  "Contactless cards, being an innovation in the Armenian  market, became irreplaceable, because they prompted a high interest  in themselves and won the trust of the customers in a short time.  Ardshinbank issues contactless cards from 2017. Moreover, all  POS-terminals of the Bank have the ability to service contactless  cards>, - the source reads.

According to the 17th issue of the analytical review "Armenian Banks  in the Card Business", prepared by IC ArmInfo, Ardshinbank is one of  the five leaders in the total number of active cards - over 178  thousand units. on April 1, 2018. Moreover, according to the number  of Visa and MasterCard cards, the bank holds the 2nd position, having  97.1 thousand and 74.5 thousand, respectively. In 2017, the total  volume of plastic transactions on the bank's cards was about 148  billion drams (with an annual growth of 43.5%), and only in terms of  ATM transactions is the position in TOP-3 - over 99 billion drams  (with an annual growth of 39.8%). Ardshinbank has 155 ATMs and 380  own POS-terminals. Ardshinbank also issues international Visa and  MasterCard simultaneously with local ArCa cards.

It should be noted that Ardshinbank was founded in 2003. The majority  shareholders of Ardshinbank as of January 1, 2018 are Arins Group LLC  (this is renamed the Business Investment Center LLC) with a 67.97%  interest in the capital and 29.52% in the REGION Industrial and  Financial Corporation CJSC.  Ardshinbank is the second largest bank  in Armenia, it has one of the largest retail chains, consisting of 64  branches. Ardshinbank is the only private institution in Armenia that  has been assigned ratings of two international rating agencies  (Moody's and Fitch) equal to Armenia's country rating.
