According to him, during the reporting period, wine was produced in Armenia in the amount of 3.8 million liters (with an annual decline of 1%), brendy - 12.3 million liter. (with an annual decline of 11.7%), whiskey - 366.5 thousand liters (with an annual decline of 54.7%), and beer production, on the contrary, increased by 9% to 10.2 million liters. Answering the question of ArmInfo, A. Harutyunyan stated that in the first half of the year wine export from Armenia increased by almost 20%, beer - by 10%, and supplies of cognac and whiskey decreased by one third. "These are operational data, and the final figures will be published in a month," he stressed.
Speaking about export markets, he noted that the share of Armenian alcoholic products in the Russian market fell from 93% to 81%, in the Chinese market increased from 1.5% to 2%, in the US market from 1% to 2%. In the Georgian market, the share of Armenian alcoholic products varied from 3% to 7% in different years. The supplies to the Baltic countries have been restored, and the export of Armenian alcohol to Eastern Europe has intensified. According to the National Statistical Service of Armenia, Armenia in the year 2017 produced 8.8 million liters wine and increased the export of wine by 30%. According to the Customs Service of Armenia, in 2017 Armenia exported 2.8 million liters. wine, with an annual growth of 50.5%, with the increase in customs value by 81% to $ 10.8 million. In 2017, Armenia exported 25.5 million liters ethyl alcohol, alcohol tincture, liqueur and other alcoholic beverages, with an annual growth of 22.8%, with the increase in customs value by 37.8% to $ 207.3 million, and beer with a displacement of 1.9 million liters, which is less than a year ago by 13.9%, while customs value, by contrast, showed an increase of 7.4% to $ 1.5 million.
