Romanian airline will launch flights on Bucharest - Yerevan route

ArmInfo. The negotiations  between International Airports of Armenia CJSC and the Romanian Tarom  airline have finished, the press service of the operator of Armenian  airports informs.

The source noted that as a result of the talks, an agreement has been  signed, according to which "Tarom Avia" Air Company will launch  regular flights from Bucharest to Yerevan starting from September 05.  Flights will be operated twice a week.  It is essential that the  geographical location of Bucharest is very convenient for transit  flights in major European destinations. It should be noted that the  "Tarom" airline or Romanian Air Transport is the national air carrier  of Romania. The main airport of the airline is Coanda International  Airport in Otopeni, 16 km north of Bucharest. The headquarters of the  airline is also located there, 95% of shares are owned by the state.  On June 25, 2010, the airline became part of the SkyTeam alliance.  The airline's fleet consists of 21 aircrafts ATR, Airbus, Boeing.
