ArmInfo. Minister of Economic Development and Investments Artsvik Minasyan discussed with the participants of the business delegation from Lebanon the prospects for expanding cooperation.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the visit was organized by the Lebanese company "Gardenia Grain Dor" in cooperation with the Business Armenia Foundation.
Minasyan noted that Armenia and Lebanon, having many commonalities and strong friendly ties, can and should make economic relations a powerful tool for development, and for this it is necessary to unite the efforts of business and state structures.
The Armenian Њinister told the Lebanese businessmen about Armenia's export potential to the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union and the EU, as well as about the privileges granted for activities in the Free Economic Zones operating in the territory of the Republic of Armenia. "The Armenian government will make efforts to ensure that businessmen feel protected in our country," Aminasyan assured, urging Lebanese businessmen to invest in the Armenian economy. In turn, the Lebanese side spoke about its expectations and interests, as well as issues related to new investments were discussed.
It should be reminded that in 2018 the Business Armenia Foundation (formerly the Development Fund of Armenia-Ed) is planning to attract investments to the country amounting to 46.8 million. The organization's plans also provide additional export volumes of $ 16.3 million. With the support of the Asian Development Bank this year will create a comprehensive electronic site Select Armenia with sections of Invest Armenia and Made in Armenia. The online resource is created to fully inform businessmen about investment opportunities in Armenia, spheres and industries where you can invest money. In the near future, the Fund intends to introduce a system for managing customer relations - CRM, which will allow to react as quickly as possible to the problems faced by investors and exporters in Armenia. The Fund will receive a grant in the amount of $ 394 thousand this year, which will go to the creation of the eRegulations tool, the essence of which is to classify and publish information on investment processes in Armenia.
