According to him, the state has no right to interfere in the financial activities of the company, but retains the right to verify its financial flows, which is stipulated by the terms of the concession agreement. We are talking about the need to clarify the effectiveness of the company's use of financial resources. Now such a test is being carried out. "Investigations are by no means aimed at stopping the work of the SCR.It is only to find out how efficiently the company spends money," the minister said, adding that he discussed this issue with his Russian counterparts. "Both sides want to understand the extent to which the findings of the investigation correspond to reality," Ashot Hakobyan said.
To recall, the Investigative Committee of Armenia checks the "South Caucasus Railroad" for compliance with its tax obligations. One of the directions of the inspections can be the appropriations of the Armenian budget, directed by the SCR with the aim of compensating tariff rates for passenger transportation.
