According to the source, a working group implementing the "Solar Community" project together with a facilitating group within the program developed criteria for the selection of buildings. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to install solar photovoltaic panels on the roofs of 90 buildings of the capital of Armenia, which will ensure the operation of house elevators, as well as common areas, including all floors, courtyard lighting. These areas will be lit by LED lamps.
A favorable geographical location will be the main criteria, two or more entrances of 9-14-storied buildings, at least two elevators, a repaired roof, and the presence of at least 10 sq. m. area for each 1 kW of power for photovoltaic systems. Separately, the issue of increasing the number of floors after improvement activities is considered. Among the selection priorities is also considered the issue of ensuring the seismic security of buildings, the accident rate of which should be at least the second category. For these purposes, separate examinations are planned. In addition, the occupancy of buildings should be at least 85%. To note when selecting buildings, an important role will be given to the social component, including the presence of residents from socially disadvantaged groups of population included in the ''Paros'' program, as well as the presence of dead soldiers or military personnel with disabilities. An important component of the criteria is the presence of condominiums, their consent and the consent of the tenants.
