ArmInfo. The Iranian''Ariana Tunnel Dam Co.'' company, which won the tender announced by the Transport Project Implementation Organization (TPIO) to implement a program for the construction of a new bridge at the Bagratashen border control point, presented the preparatory work carried out in recent months.
According to the press service of TPIO, during the meeting, the parties came to an agreement that during the implementation of the program, the Iranian side will cooperate with Armenian specialists, ecologists, sociologists, and archaeologists.
Representatives of SNCO noted that during construction the Iranian side should focus on possible problems related to land alienation and resettlement, social problems of people living there, possible environmental and historical and cultural consequences.
The parties also discussed the working stages, methodology and work schedule. It was emphasized that each step should be carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Armenia.
To note, Ariana ''Tunnel Dam Co.'' was founded in 2007, its headquarters is located in Tehran. The company has extensive experience in civil engineering, which includes such objects as dams, hydroelectric power stations, tunnels, roads, buildings and special projects. The company has offices in Tajikistan, Georgia, Armenia, China and South Korea.
The bridge will be built as part of the Northern Corridor Modernization Program with an EBRD loan of 10.3 million euros. The loan maturity date is October 2027.
