ArmInfo. The Energy Week 2018 investment forum will be held in Yerevan on November 14-16.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia, the upcoming event will be organized by the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Fund of the Republic of Armenia and the British company Invest In Network with the assistance of the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia and patronage of the RA government. The event organized by the fund is aimed at presenting the latest developments in the field of renewable energy to investors, the country's investment opportunities, engineering and technological solutions, promising projects.
Representatives of more than 15 countries interested in the construction of solar power plants in Armenia submitted their applications for participation in the forum. Investors are represented by companies from such countries as the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Austria, China, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Russia and Kazakhstan.
Investors in the field of geothermal, wind and hydropower, five investment programs for the construction of solar stations will also be presented to investors. In particular, one of the programs will concern the possibility of building a solar station in the Talin-2 area of the Aragatsotn region, as well as details of the upcoming tender for this project.
It is planned to present visions of the development of the energy sector and a favorable investment environment in the field of renewable energy on the example of banks and local investors.
On the second day of the forum, prospects for the development of the energy sector, financial capabilities, and the potential of solar energy will be presented. Also on the second day, it is planned to visit the Talin-1 solar power station and the Talin-2 area, as well as the SolarOn solar panel production plant. The event will be attended by about 300 participants, including ambassadors, heads of international organizations, foreign investors, specialists, representatives of the private and public sector, government agencies.
