Import of oil products to Armenia in quantitative terms increased in the first half of 2018 by 14.8% per annum (against a decline of 10.2% a year earlier), reaching 154 thousand tons, while increasing in value terms by 36.6% to $ 127.5 million (against a growth of 3.1% a year earlier). This is evidenced by the data of the Customs Service of Armenia.
According to the source, in the reported period, the export of petroleum products suffered a significant decline against a sharp increase a year earlier over the same period. Exports from 307,384 kg in the first half of 2017 decreased to almost zero (393 kg) in the same period of 2018, and therefore the customs value was reduced almost 2-fold. Thus, according to the RA Customs Union, in value terms, the export of petroleum products from $ 155.8 thousand decreased to $ 700.
During the reporting period, oil products were mainly imported from Russia (70.1%), Greece (15.1%), Turkmenistan (6.7%), Bulgaria (3.1%) Iran (1.4%), Romania (1, 2%), Georgia (1%), as well as from the USA, France, Germany, Lithuania, the Republic of Korea, Turkey, Belarus. It should be noted that in the first half of last year almost the entire volume of deliveries of petroleum products fell on the IRI market.
