ArmInfo. In January-November 2018, electricity output in Armenia amounted to 7,105.4 million kWh, with a y-o-y growth of 2.4% (against an increase of 6.4% a year earlier). In November alone, electricity generation rose by 3.6% to 676.4 million kWh.
According to the RA Statistics Committee, in January-November 2018 TPPs increased electricity generation at 27.8% per annum - up to 3,179.6 mln. kWh, while hydroelectric power plants - by 1.6% - up to 2 132.5 mln. kWh. Armenian NPP reduced electricity generation by 23.9% - to 1,787.1 million kWh
During the reporting period, 34.8 thousand gigadjoules of thermal energy were produced, with a y-o-y growth of 43.2%. Wind power plants reduced electricity generation by 17.6% to 1.4 million kWh, while solar, by contrast, increased production 48-fold to 4.8 million kWh.
