ArmInfo. The policy of Nikol Pashinyan and his government representatives is populist. This applies to all areas, including the economy. The press secretary of the Republican Party of Armenia, Eduard Sharmazanov, stated this at a press conference on January 29.
He noted that the country did not wait for the economic revolution promised by the Prime Minister; on the contrary, as a result of Pashinyan's policy, we have registered a decline in all sectors of the economy. "The Prime Minister promised us that we would have a sharp rise in the economic sphere, promised that pensions and wages would rise, agriculture would develop, video surveillance cameras on the streets would be eliminated. And what do we have in the bottom line? None of the above the promises were not fulfilled, "the RPA spokesman said. He noted that all those enterprises whose opening is attended by representatives of the new government are projects developed during the rule of the Republican Party. "Pashinyan promised us development in the field of agriculture, but it did not follow. On the contrary, exports, for example, of cattle, have declined. The drop in activity in the agricultural sector today is 1.8%," said Sharmazanov. A spokesman for the Republican Party of Armenia stressed that the economic growth planned for 2019 is 4.9%, and it cannot be called a step-wise development at all. At the same time, the new government inherited 9.7% economic growth from the RPA. "All the statements of the Prime Minister about the economic revolution have not been realized. On the contrary, as we see, workplaces are closed, gas has risen in price, and something is not visible investment from the Diaspora, on the contrary, investments have decreased. Thus, if during our reign investment in monetary terms amounted to $ 100 million, but today, according to official data, it is $ 77 million. So it can be noted with confidence that Pashinyan could not make his statement about the revolutionary economic growth, " Eduard Sharmazanov concluded.
