ArmInfo. A significant increase in exports of goods and services should be the main engine of economic progress in Armenia. This is stated in the program of the RA Government, published on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The program notes that at the end of the program's period of validity (5 years), exports of goods and services in GDP should be 43-45%. At the same time, the role of technological products should significantly increase in the export structure. Maintaining favorable trading conditions for Armenian producers in target markets, creating new products and applying them should be one of the government's policy priorities. Armenia has favorable conditions for growth in export markets.
Membership of the republic in the Eurasian Economic Union, the use of GSP + preferential treatment in the European Union, the existence of free trade agreements with many countries, membership in the World Trade Organization are necessary conditions for the promotion of Armenian goods to these markets. At the same time, ensuring preferential conditions in relations with third countries in the framework of cooperation with the EAEU should be an important part of this process.Creating favorable conditions for foreign trade should be accompanied by increased government support to build the capacity of domestic companies in these markets. This should be done in several ways, the priority of which is the simplification of export customs and administrative procedures.
The next important aspect is to ensure the quality of goods and services. Increasing the availability and availability of certificates of origin, compliance with quality standards, ensuring recognition of Armenian documents for compliance with the main export markets are the main requirements that must be applied.Among the most important issues will be the insurance of Armenian exporters against possible risks in export markets. Despite the state financing of some programs, nevertheless, their volumes are insufficient for large export-oriented enterprises.Products of Armenian manufacturers may lead to the emergence of a national brand, which will be crucial for the promotion of exported goods and services. Assistance in the recognition of goods and services exported from Armenia will significantly reduce the costs necessary for the entry and promotion of new Armenian goods in the same markets.
