ArmInfo.Venture Fund Index Ventures is considering the possibility of starting activities in Armenia. This became known as a result of a meeting of representatives of the foundation with RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to the press service of the government, the guests noted that they highly appreciate the positive changes in the IT sector of Armenia and are interested in developing and expanding cooperation. In particular, they presented to the Prime Minister the activities of the Fund "Index Ventures" and projects for the implementation of investment projects in startups in Armenia. In addition to the implementation of various technological and engineering projects, the Index Ventures team intends to present to new Armenian companies ways of obtaining investments in Silicon Valley, trends in the technological sphere.In turn, the prime minister welcomed the cooperation initiatives with local companies and the implementation of investment programs.
In particular, Pashinyan stressed that the sphere of information technologies is one of the priorities of the Armenian government, and the goal of the executive branch is to have a technological economy in the future. Nikol Pashinyan added that the government is interested in cooperation with the venture fund Index Ventures and discussing proposals for the implementation of investment programs. The Prime Minister noted that the government is consistently taking steps to improve the business environment.
