Italian Ambassador: One of the professors of the University of Milan  will hold a master class on "Smart city" in Yerevan

Armenian Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technologies Hakob Arshakyan received Italian Ambassador to Armenia Vincenzo Del Monaco.  As the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Transport reports,  welcoming the ambassador, Hakob Arshakyan expressed a desire to  further deepen the effective cooperation formed between the two  countries in the field of road construction.

He also noted the desire to establish and expand cooperation in the field of high  technologies. Ambassador Vincenzo del Monaco, in his turn,  congratulated the new government of Armenia, noted that very positive  relations were established between the two countries not only in the  areas of transport and road construction, but also in other sectors  of the economy. The diplomat noted the possibilities for further  deepening cooperation between the two friendly states and expanding  the scope of cooperation.

The head of the Armenian Ministry of Transport, presenting the  potential of Armenian engineering organizations, outlined a number of  areas in which there are real opportunities for further cooperation  with Italian companies - in artificial intelligence, robotics,  driverless testing, digitization, and a number of other programs.

The Minister stressed that, in the person of Italian companies, the  Armenian side is looking for a good partner and sees a great  potential for cooperation in the field of high technologies. Hakob  Arshakyan proposed organizing an Armenian-Italian business forum for  high-tech companies.

The Ambassador noted that there are many interesting projects in the  technological field in Italy. He also presented to the Minister the  cooperation that had developed between the Technical University of  Milan and the National University of Architecture and Construction of  Armenia. Vincenzo del Monaco said that in the coming days one of the  professors of the University of Milan would hold a master class on  the subject of "Smart city" here, presenting the Italian experience.

Hakob Arshakyan stressed the importance of the participation of  Italian companies at a high level in this exceptional event in the  technological sector.
