ArmInfo. The Armenian government intends to give a new impetus to the work implemented in the framework of credit programs. On March 19, Vice Premier Tigran Avinyan announced this during a meeting with the Director of the Department of Credit Operations in the EU-Neighboring Countries of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Lionel Rapel.At the same time, as the press service of the government of Armenia reports, the deputy prime minister pointed out the importance of implementing these programs in the planned timeframe.
During the meeting, issues related to the current cooperation of Armenia with the EIB, as well as projects implemented in the fields of energy, road construction and irrigation were discussed.At the request of the guest, Tigran Avinyan presented the process of ongoing reforms in public administration.The interlocutors agreed to explore the possibilities of implementing new programs in the fields of education and health.Earlier, ArmInfo, citing MacEy Chur, head of the regional office of the European Investment Bank in the South Caucasus, reported that over 10 years of cooperation with Armenia, the EIB had invested about 380 million euros in programs implemented in the country. Chura noted that the visions of development presented by the RA government are consonant with the strategic objectives of the Bank's activities in Armenia, which include developing socio-economic infrastructures, promoting the private sector and mitigating the impact of climate change.
